Why did the shingles break up

Because they just couldn’t stick together anymore! It’s funny how in roofing, we often talk about bonding and durability, yet in life, sometimes things just don’t hold up. Just had a customer who told me their roof looked like a high school relationship — lots of ups, some downs, and a few leaks along the way.

And i totally relate! Just like your shingles story, I’ve had clients who have called their roofs ‘a bad relationship.’ I’ve found that regular maintenance can make all the difference — it’s like keeping the communication open. Has anyone here had success with that?

Your roof’s ups and downs remind me of a client who called me in a panic because a storm ripped off their ridge cap. , if only they’d done regular maintenance! It’s wild how much a little caulking can go — sometimes the smallest fixes save you from the big leaks.

That’s a great analogy! I once had a roof that looked sturdy but started leaking after a heavy rain, similar to a relationship that’s been holding on but needs a reality check. Regular inspections can really save the day — it’s like a check-in with your roof.
