On a coastal clay tile re-roof last month, we used stainless screws, copper flashing, and a vented batten so the underside can dry — salt air chews galvanized like seagulls on fries. If you’re in a high-wind zone, foam-bond the field tiles and mechanically fix hips/ridges per Miami-Dade NOA; inland I’ve gotten by with hot-dip galv only when isolated from dissimilar metals.
